Pat Benatar has been rocking the stage since the early 1980s, emerging as one of music’s top-selling female artists and a leading vocalist in the industry. By creating songs that have stood the test of time such as "Love Is A Battlefield," "Hit Me With Your Best Shot," "We Belong," and "Heartbreaker," Benatar scored six platinum and four gold albums while winning four consecutive Grammys for Best Rock Vocal Performance from 1980 to 1983.
Performing alongside Benatar is Neal Giraldo, husband/producer/long-time collaborator who joined Pat as the lead guitarist and musical arranger in the making of her first album "In The Heat of The Night" and has produced every one of her albums since. Giraldo and Benatar have been a working couple since he penned the song, "We Live For Love," on her debut album. In 1980 Loverboy introduced themselves to the world with their self-titled debut album.
They quickly became one of America's and MTV's most popular rock bands. From 1980 through 1987 Loverboy garnered four multi-platinum albums and numerous international gold albums. Their tours sold out arenas and stadiums nationwide.
Their hit singles came one after another – "Turn Me Loose," "Working for the Weekend," "Lovin’ Every Minute of It" – and went on to become the anthems and party songs of an entire generation of rock concert going fans. Loverboy's red leather pants, bandannas, and big rock sound defined the band's trademark image and high-energy live show.
The 2012 California Mid-State Fair runs July 18, 2012, through July 29, 2012. This year’s theme is "The Great American Road Trip."
