Request for Proposals Available Now
The Travel Paso Robles Alliance (TPRA) is requesting proposals from professional web development and design firms to guide the organization in the creation of a new tourism website.
The TPRA is a group of Paso Robles hoteliers pooling resources to promote and market Paso Robles as a world-class tourism destination. This work is done in partnership with the City of Paso Robles and on behalf of multiple hospitality and stakeholder businesses who serve the visitor.
The ideal website will capture the unique personality of Paso Robles and its varied attractions, appeal to all audiences of area tourism, serve as the tourism resource for visitors to Paso Robles, and provide relevant information to support media inquiries about Paso Robles. This website will replace the current Travelpaso.com site, not overlap it.

Opening Night of PRYAF’s June Revue: The Spirit of "I Can" is Thursday June 14, 2012 at 6pm
The 9th Annual Paso Pinot & Paella Festival raised an overwhelming $25,000 to be donated to the Paso Robles Youth Arts Foundation. PRYAF provides free training in musical theatre, drama, art, guitar, piano & dance to youth 5-18 years old in San Luis Obispo County.
The check will be presented to PRYAF at the student’s annual performance, the Spirit of “I Can” Revue, on opening night: Thursday June 14th at 6pm. Additional performances will be held on Friday June 15th at 7pm & Saturday June 16th at 1pm.
Tickets are $10 for adults or $5 for children under $12. The Paso Robles Youth Arts Foundation is located at 3201 Spring St in Paso Robles.

The Paso Robles Rotary Club recently donated a check for $625 dollars to go toward the future Parks 4 Pups in Paso Robles, CA. It’s one of the many projects the Rotary Club has sponsored in the past several months, and illuminates how important our community is to Paso Robles Rotary.

The Latest News from the California Mid-State Fair
1) Applications are now being accepted for the Quilt Challenge. The challenge fabric is currently available at the Paso Robles Event Center Administration Office located at 2198 Riverside Avenue, Paso Robles or Sew Fun located at 8775 El Camino Real, Atascadero. A $3 entry fee will be assessed when you turn in your entry form and pick-up your challenge fabric. Finished quilts must be delivered to the California Mid-State Fair on Friday, June 22nd, between 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm or Saturday, June 23rd between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm.
2) Applications are now being accepted for the Miss CMSF Pageant. Contestants must be between the ages of 17-22 on opening day of the 2012 Fair, be a current resident of San Luis Obispo County, and have never been married. Each contestant will compete in five categories: Interview, Platform, Talent, Swimsuit and Evening Wear. The Pageant takes place on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, the night before the 2012 CMSF begins. Applications are due no later than Friday, March 30 by 4p.
3) Applications are now being accepted for the Junior Fairboard. Applicants must be between the ages of 16 – 20 years old, and be a resident of San Luis Obispo County. Junior Fairboard members assist with the day-to-day operations of the annual California Mid-State Fair, including events such as the Diaper Derby, Tricycle Races, and Public Judging. In addition, members help in the livestock ring and act as ushers in the Main Grandstand Arena. The deadline for applications is Friday, June 15, 2012 by 5p.

The 2012 California Mid-State Fair runs July 18, 2012, through July 29, 2012. This year’s theme is "The Great American Road Trip."

San Luis Obispo County Organizations Honored at Alliance December Membership Meeting
The Paso Robles wine industry came together in 2011, raising a record amount of dollars during the Wine Country Auctions featured at Zinfandel Festival and Wine Festival. The Zin Tasting & Wine Country Auction showcased "bottles, bottles and more bottles" for enthusiastic wine collectors. The Wine Country Auction & Dinner hosted 271 guests for an evening of Paso Robles hospitality and incredible lifestyle and wine centric auction lots. As a result, Paso Robles Wine Country increased its 2011 contribution by 15 percent, gifting $80,000 of cash donations to 13 local charities who support healthcare, education and greater community services. Additionally, the Alliance supported San Luis Obispo County groups through in-kind services with a value of more than $46,000. The Alliance is proud to partner with the wine community to make this significant contribution.
