B-17 Bomber Tour Coming to Paso Robles

EAA’s B-17 Aluminum Overcast Takes To The Air For EAA’s 2013 National Air Tour; 'Mission' flights, ground tours in historic WWII bomber available.

The Experimental Aircraft Association’s restored B-17 bomber Aluminum Overcast, returns to the sky on April 26 at Zamperini Field in Torrance, Calif., the first of more than 30 stops during the 2013 “Experience History” national tour.

Paso Robles Seeking New Tourism Website

Request for Proposals Available Now

The Travel Paso Robles Alliance (TPRA) is requesting proposals from professional web development and design firms to guide the organization in the creation of a new tourism website.

The TPRA is a group of Paso Robles hoteliers pooling resources to promote and market Paso Robles as a world-class tourism destination. This work is done in partnership with the City of Paso Robles and on behalf of multiple hospitality and stakeholder businesses who serve the visitor.

The ideal website will capture the unique personality of Paso Robles and its varied attractions, appeal to all audiences of area tourism, serve as the tourism resource for visitors to Paso Robles, and provide relevant information to support media inquiries about Paso Robles. This website will replace the current Travelpaso.com site, not overlap it.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration in Paso Robles

United- We Keep the Dream Alive

The City of Paso Robles, Library and Recreation Services, is celebrating the powerful vision and message of Martin Luther King, Jr. On Saturday, January 19 at 1:00 p.m., the community is invited to gather at Centennial Park to honor the message and work of Dr. King through this brief but meaningful event. The keynote speaker will provide a motivating message on keeping the dream alive. A community group will dramatize the history of Martin Luther King Jr. through his powerful speeches and the eventful Montgomery Bus ride. An award winning choir will sing, a local dance group will perform and many talented community members will be part of the celebration. All are welcome to attend. Monetary donations will be accepted for Loaves and Fishes.

Pre-Pioneer Day Dance in Paso Robles

The Pre-Pioneer Day Dance will be Sept. 22, 2012 at the Paso Robles Event Center

Along with generous donations from individuals and businesses, the Pre-Pioneer Dance is the primary fundraiser for Pioneer Day and the restoration and maintenance of the historic tractors, wagons and farm equipment that belongs to this community. This year is the 82 yr. Anniversary of a tradition that honors the pioneer families of Paso Robles and the surrounding areas. Pioneer Day is October 6, 2012 The parade begins at 10AM.and runs down Spring St and half way around the park.
