Paso Robles is definitely a "car town". This town loves classic cars and will take any opportunity to ogle their beauty and debate their finer points.
This year we get three days to do just that.
The Paso Robles Classic Car Weekend runs Labor Day Weekend, August 31 - September 1 and will be filled to the dashboard with classic cars in all their chrome-plated and fuzzy-diced splendor, with ample opportunity for folks to see, hear and talk about what makes each car so amazing.
Here is the weekend breakdown:
Friday night Get a preview of the gorgeous classic show cars when they hit Spring Street on Friday night for an old-fashioned cruise from 6-8 pm.
The route has been extended to run from 6th to 22nd on Spring Street. Bring a chair and enjoy the free show.
There is a VIP Tent with special seats right on the cruise route, tickets are $45 per person and proceeds benefit the car show.
Saturday the Show & Shine takes place in downtown City Park from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Tee shirts and raffle tickets available, the Grand Prize is a brand new iPad.
Sunday Classic car owners and enthusiasts are invited to enjoy a BBQ at Le Vigne Winery from Noon to 3 pm. A DJ will be on hand playing classic music from the 1950’s through today and the event is being catered by LaGuardia’s Homemade Since 1912 (the new Paso Robles airport restaurateur).
Tickets to the BBQ are $20 per person and can be purchased at the Visitors Center at 1225 Patrk Street or by calling the Chamber of Commerce at (805) 238-6160.
